EvalYouth Chapter Rwanda (EYCR)

EvalYouth Chapter Rwanda (EYCR) was established as a platform dedicated to supporting young and emerging evaluators (YEEs) by fostering professional development, providing networking opportunities, and advocating for the use of evaluation in evidence-based decision-making. The chapter operates within the broader framework of the EvalYouth Global Network and EvalPartners, ensuring alignment with global evaluation standards and best practices.
EYCR was formed in response to the increasing demand for structured mentorship, capacity development, and knowledge exchange among young evaluators in Rwanda. Recognizing the crucial role that monitoring and evaluation (M&E) plays in shaping policies and programs, EYCR aims to bridge the gap between emerging and experienced evaluators, ensuring that young professionals are equipped with the necessary skills to contribute meaningfully to national and global development efforts.

About EvalYouth

EvalYouth is a global, multi-stakeholder network that supports and promotes young and emerging evaluators (YEEs) and advances youth-led accountability initiatives worldwide.

Global Evaluation Forum

EvalYouth was launched globally in 2015 at the 2nd Global Evaluation Forum in Kathmandu, Nepal. This movement brought together 23 young and emerging evaluators (YEEs) from diverse backgrounds with the shared mission of enhancing capacity, fostering mentorship, and promoting evidence-based decision-making in evaluation. Over the years, EvalYouth has evolved into a globally recognized network, inspiring the formation of national chapters that provide direct support to young evaluators.
